My drawings are metaphors for desire and disgust: the disparate desires for purity and sexual prowess, and the concurrent disgust at perversion and decay.  They contrast the excitement of sexuality with the abject nature of reproduction, the imposition of societal mores, the pressure resulting from the prominence of pornography to make oneself a more perfect object, and the eventual decay of the body and dissolution of sexual desirability. The hoards of insects stand for an infestation of anxiety, as well as a state of impending entropy as they simultaneously form and unravel the figure.
