Through the media of photography, video, film, installation and
performance, I investigate political, economic and social phenomena
that happened in Croatia since the early 1990s— mutability of social
and ethical values and widespread occurrence of unregulated
architectural spreads, to name just a few — which resonate in a wider
European context. The works contemplate on the concepts of remembering
and forgetting, and on construction and dissemination of ideologies,
histories, and different political agendas. The ideas and subjects of
my work stem from my own experiences; I incorporate autobiographical
elements and first person narration while combining them with
documentary and archival materials.
