Deborah has drawn since childhood and at age 15 did her first oil painting of her grandfather. Mainly self taught Deborah likes a variety of subjects and is particularly fond of and is influenced by Classical Art and Art from the Renaissance era, both sculpture and paintings, taking inspiration from Michaelangelo and da Vinci. Other subjects are portraits of people, domestic animals and wildlife are particular favourites.
Deborah’s oil painting of the Rider’s Meeting was inspired and influenced by the horses and riders in the country lane around Holcombe in Somerset which has also been favourably looked at by Mr. Jerry Saltz of New York.
As a result of the drawings of members of the Royal family a letter was received from Her Majesty’s Lady in Waiting from Sandringham House on behalf of Queen Elizabeth II and Deborah is proud of her portrait of HRH Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother.
Now living in Corsham, Wiltshire a quiet little town with the Georgian City of Bath close by inspiration is taken locally. Artwork is created in a variety of Mediums being oil on canvas, board and wood panel, pastels, watercolour and detailed drawings, Deborah is enthusiastic about her art being recognisable.
